Product Review: Gaoye T9 Wireless Bluetooth V4.1 Headphones
Disclaimer: I provide honest reviews of products that I receive for free or at discounted rates.
The Gaoye T9 Wireless Bluetooth V4.1 Headphones is a bluetooth version 4.1 wireless earbud for cellphones, tablets and other bluetooth enabled media devices. It’s small form factor makes it an extremely lightweight bluetooth adapter that comes in either jet black, or bright white color.
Packaged with the T9 Bluetooth Headphones is a replacement clear earpiece and two over-the-ear clip on supports. The T9 comes with an in-ear rubber earpiece already attached, which I found to be quite comfortable. Honestly, when I was using the additional behind-the-ear supports, I found that the entire bluetooth adapter gets pulled slightly out of your ear, which makes it considerable quieter, as the rubberized earpiece uses directed holes to filter the sound into your ear canal when you’re wearing it.
Pairing the Gaoye T9 to my cell phone, and iPad was a breeze. The pairing was completely automatic and super intuitive, just hold the “phone” button to power on and keep holding the button in until it says it’s ready for pairing. The only comment I can make is that the voice that notifies you when the power is on or off and when pairing is activated/completed sounds weird. For lack of a better word, it sounds moderately drunk.
Apart from that however, the sound quality is fairly high for a mono bluetooth adapter. The microphone picks up clearly and audio, while slightly muffled from the stereo-to-mono conversion done by the adapter, has decently represented bass, midrange and treble, enough that phone calls would be very clear and easy to hear. If you’re looking for an all around performer good for listening to music as well as phone calls though, you may want to look for a different device.
All in all the Gaoye T9 Wireless Bluetooth V4.1 Headphones is a nice little budget level bluetooth adapter that gets the job done in a quick and easy fashion with moderate quality.
