The Bestoss Ultra-thin 2000mah External Battery Power Bank is a super-thin lightweight 2000 mAh portable power bank. It weighs 85.8 gr (3.03 oz) which makes it one of the lightest external power banks I’ve ever used.

There is a single micro-USB port that functions as both the incoming and outgoing power connection. A small button next to the micro-USB port can be pressed to show you the current battery charge level, which is indicated by a series of 4 small blue LED lights.

The cable that is included can be used to charge a micro-USB or Lightning enabled device. The lightning connector is an Apple MFI certified connector, so it will charge Apple devices without any issue. The only weird issue with the device is actually with the cable itself. There is a small USB Type-A to micro-USB adapter that comes with the cable, and in order to charge a device, that side of the cable must be connected to the power bank, otherwise it will actually drain your phone battery to charge the power bank, which is very odd. USB cables generally don’t have a one-way power flow, but the included cable does. It’s not a huge issue, or even something that I would consider to be a flaw, but it is a little odd to say the least.

The power bank is a little larger than I would have expected based on the pictures advertised. The way it’s presented, it would appear it would be small enough to fit into a business card slot in a wallet, but it’s actually too large to fit in my wallet. Again, it’s not a super huge issue because it’s quite light and easily tucked into my pocket without issues.

At 2000 mAh, the capacity of the battery is a little on the small side and is only capable of charging my Huawei Honor X5 phone, which has a 2400 mAh internal battery, to about 82% of the battery from dead, so it really would be more of an emergency-use battery instead of a daily runner backup battery. However, the low mAh capacity does make for a super quick recharge on the battery itself.
